When retrieving a password, you want ease, you want security, and you don't want a bunch of widgets and junk getting in your way. Hosted Notes is intentionally simple and void of any unnecessary features that could take away from its intended use. Its simplicity is its strength. We think you'll agree.
Here are a few questions we know a lot of you may be asking. We will try our best to cover everything here, but if you still have questions, please don't hesitate to
contact us at any time.
Can I use Hosted Notes to store passwords for my ______ accounts?
You can use Hosted Notes for any accounts at all.Being web developers, we originally started with the idea of creating a system to keep our clients' hosting, FTP and domain passwords organized. That idea evolved into a system that will work for anyone. You can store information on any account - personal, professional or otherwise, and group those accounts however you want.
Are my passwords safe and secure?
Aside from the fact that Hosted Notes is built on the powerful and secure Rails platform, the entire app is also backed by 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer encryption. We also took great lengths when developing the app to make sure it was also as user friendly as possible. This way you can use it in an office or on the go and always keep your info secure. For more information please refer to our
terms page.
What web browsers does Hosted Notes work on?
Currently Hosted Notes will work on Internet Explorer 8+, Firefox 3+, Safari 4+ and Chrome 4+. The website will also work on most modern mobile devices as well. We use flash for some of the clipboard features, which will not work on iOS. While there is no immediate plan to launch a native mobile app, we are not saying we won't some day.
How can I stay up to date with Hosted Notes news?
Currently we do not manage a blog full-time for Hosted Notes, but if you would like to stay up to date with the current info you can view our
product news blog on our company site or you can also
follow us on twitter for the rare occasion that we tweet a message about the product. The twitter feed will usually explain if we have down time or another issue while the blog will give more detailed info about the project.
Did we miss something?
This is a simple app, so we have a simple FAQ section. This still doesn't mean we didn't miss something. If you have a specific question we have yet to answer, please
contact us and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
